Manatee County Parks and Natural Resources Department will host the first annual World Ocean's Day Festival. This is a free and family friendly event. A variety of ocean themed activities will be available for participants to learn about World Oceans Day. Dip nets into the water and discover the creatures hiding beneath the waves. Learn amazing facts about our large wildlife. Play oyster games and explore the history of fishing in Manatee County while sampling foods from your local estuaries. During the event, take a break from the heat in Emerson's classroom and learn from scientists working in the field.
